Block shortcuts are available from the chat list

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a shortcut for its blocking feature.according to WA beta informationyou can block users directly from the chat list.

This option is part of the new beta update of Android with version 2.23.2.4.

However, this feature is currently in development and will be released in a future update.

Why is this story important?

  • Meta owned social media apps are constantly innovating to improve user experience. As is customary with most updates, this new option will be tested in beta first.
  • Blocking is a key tool in popular social media apps, allowing users to cut ties and stay away from spam and unwanted messages.

Block shortcut built into chat list

Previously, you had to open a chat, go to contact info, and block the person.

A new option lets you block a person directly from your chat list without opening the chat.

This shortcut not only makes blocking contacts easier, it saves time and makes it easier.
