WhatsApp working on new ‘kept messages’ feature on Android

San Francisco, Dec. 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly working on a redesigned “keep messages” feature on Android. This allows users to keep or restore hold messages.

WABetaInfo reports that this new feature will make it possible to keep disappearing messages so they don’t expire.

The messaging platform is working to provide this functionality in a future update of the application.

Users in the conversation can view message options to keep disappeared messages or to revoke retained messages.

However, if you undo a retained message, it will be automatically deleted for everyone and will be irreversible, the report said.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, the messaging platform began rolling out a new shortcut that makes messages disappear on Android beta.

After downloading the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.25.11 update, some users were able to access new features.

The new shortcuts are placed within the “Manage Storage” section and marked as a space-saving tool.
