WAMetaInfo reports that upcoming changes will allow users to better describe groups. Unlike before, the character limit for WhatsApp groups has been increased from 25 to 100. This is intended to give group admins more flexibility in naming groups. This makes it easier to identify the purpose of the group.
The update is Google Play Store Beta Program for Android beta testerThis update includes version 2.23.3.9 which allows users to set longer group subjects and descriptions.
Increased character limit
Additionally, the meta-owning giant is increasing the character limit for group descriptions from 512 to 2048 characters.
WhatsApp users should note that they may not currently be able to enter long descriptions for groups. It doesn’t matter if the feature is already enabled on your WhatsApp account. We recommend waiting a while before updating the group description.
Those who have installed the latest WhatsApp beta update from the Google Play store can practice longer group subjects and descriptions. This update will be rolled out in phases and will gradually reach more users over the next few days.
