The Sony DSC-HX99 RNV Camera Kit was developed as a photographic solution to help visually impaired consumers take pictures according to their abilities. The camera takes the form of his eponymous Cyber shot DSC-HX99, first released in 2018, and is paired with Japan-based QD Laser’s Retissa Neoviewer. This allows the camera to project an image directly onto the user’s retina, making it possible for some people to see the face and read the signs to take photos and videos in a more natural way.
The Sony DSC-HX99 RNV camera kit is set to go on sale this summer for $600, and the brand will reportedly cover most of the cost of manufacturing the device with the intention of supporting the blind/low vision community. I’m here.
