Two mobile home fires knocked down, families displaced

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The CSFD provided FOX21 News crews on the scene with additional information about two mobile homes that caught fire on Friday, January 13 at Preakness Way.

The CSFD said the fire spread from two mobile homes to nearby trees and sheds. No injuries have been reported, but two families and several animals will be evacuated.

Fire departments are urging the public to use caution when operating stoves and not to use ovens for heating.

The CSFD said the fire was extinguished, but firefighters remained on scene and sprayed the backyard hotspot.

The CSFD said two burning mobile homes collapsed at Block 2800 of Preakness Way.

No injuries have been reported, according to the CSFD.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is at the scene of a fire burning two mobile homes Friday night, Jan. 13.

The CSFD tweeted about the fire just after 8pm, saying two trailer homes were on fire at Block 2800 of Preakness Way, near Hancock Expressway and South Powers Boulevard.

FOX21 News has a crew en route to the scene and will provide an update as information becomes available.
