This half-off deal for the OnePlus 9 is perfect for Android enthusiasts

High Performance, ROM Ready, Only $300

one plus 9

Powered by a Snapdragon 888 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and charging up to 65W (15W wirelessly), the Hasselblad-branded camera system offers a decent product if you know how to shoot. 9 is available now for $300 — half the MSRP these days.

It has a complicated relationship with the OnePlus 9. The phone will come to life in 2021, offering incredible performance at an affordable price, but it’s cut all the way from a camera that wasn’t quite as good as the OnePlus 9 Pro. The OxygenOS 12 update has injected the sensitivity of Oppo’s ColorOS into an unacceptable user base. There are a number of reasons why you might want to pick one up these days — it could be for collection, it could be a cheap spare part, it might be ripe for ROM hacking — but , you’ll obviously want to get it for the right price. That right price may finally be here now.

Both Amazon and Best Buy have put the phone in year-end (presumably end-of-life) clearance, cutting the price in half from its current suggested retail price of about $300.

With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 65W Warp Charge, and wireless charging support up to 15W, the core specs are hot and fast for years to come The phone was recently pushed to OxygenOS 13 just weeks after getting open beta. On the one hand, the speed is good news…but if you’re not a fan of the whole “aquamorphic design” thing going on, I’d recommend trying out a custom his image or two.

We’re not going to sugarcoat the fact that Android Police think the OnePlus 9’s journey is emblematic of all the party fouls Oppo has committed over the past year and a half. If so, some of you will have a reason to get this phone… like today.
