The Death of iTunes? Apple TV & Apple Music Apps Are Coming to Windows 11 – Cord Cutters News

Hate having to watch Apple TV shows in your browser? Don’t want to listen to Apple Music from the website? Hate iTunes? If you have a Windows 11 PC, you’ll soon be able to install the Apple TV and Apple Music apps.

This really shouldn’t come as a surprise as Apple is slowly opening up its services to other platforms. A few years ago, many were shocked to see Apple offer Apple TV to Roku players and Amazon’s Fire TV streaming players. Over the last few years, Apple has provided apps for many devices, including his Android and smart TVs. So you’d be surprised how long it took to bring the app to Windows 11.

However, there is one catch, according to 9to5Mac: installing these apps will stop iTunes for Windows from working. This could be one step closer for Apple to end iTunes, his one of the most famous apps on any platform. A few years ago, Apple killed iTunes on Macs, but left it on Windows PCs. Currently, iTunes continues to be supported, but the question is how long that will last as that functionality is slowly migrating to other apps.

What do you think of the potential end of iTunes?
