“Counter-Strike 2” is the sequel to the popular game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). It will be released in Summer 2023 as a free upgrade to CS:GO. Valve has announced a limited beta available to select members of the game’s community. All systems, content, and parts of the game will be overhauled for the sequel. So far, Valve has released separate trailers for specific mechanics like smoke grenades, map designs, and character mobility options.
This game starts a new era of gaming with Valve’s Source 2 engine. The company promises this will be the “biggest technological leap in Counter-Strike history.” This upgrade is available in limited testing for some of his CS:GO players. All new features for the game will be revealed at the official launch this summer.
Counter-Strike 2 carries over all progress from CS:GO, so players won’t lose any in-game items or achievements they’ve earned.
