Suspect in 2 convenience store robberies identified: Mobile Police


MOBILE, Alabama (WKRG) — Mobile Police Department officials have identified a man allegedly involved in two convenience store robberies.

Zedric Raymond, 26, has been identified as the person who robbed a Chevron gas station and Dawes Food Mart on Monday, Jan. 16, officials said.

Mobile police were first called to the Chevron gas station on Sage Avenue at 8:00 pm Monday due to a robbery complaint. When they arrived, officers were told a man had entered the store with a gun and demanded money from the cash register.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. that same day, officers were summoned to Dawes Food Mart on Leroy Stevens Road due to a robbery complaint. Police arrived and were told the same story – a man entered the store with a gun and demanded money from the cash register.

Neither employee was injured during the robbery. Raymond was arrested for two crimes.
