What features does the iPhone 15 have?
The iPhone 15 is set to have tons of new features, but not because Apple wanted to add them. Expect a lot of changes from Apple in 2023 because of the EU. For example, the EU is forcing Apple to add USB-C to all iPhones sold in Europe by 2024. It also forces Apple to open up the iPhone a bit and allow third-party app stores. It will be both an iOS 17 feature and an iPhone 15 feature.

USB-C
When Apple confirmed to the WSJ a few months ago that the upcoming iPhones would have USB-C, many were thrilled. Including yours really. But it’s not all good news. Apple is forcing his USB-C, but it doesn’t include the higher data speeds that USB-C usually comes with. Instead, it will stick to USB 2.0 speeds, much like the current Lightning port.
However, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the “Pro” model will come with “at least” USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3. This is another feature that distinguishes his regular iPhone model from the Pro model.
Unfortunately, how many people actually transfer data over their iPhone cables every day? Or at all? Not so many. So it may not be as big a deal as the tech media claims.

The iPhone 14’s camera is already really good. But Apple somehow he plans to improve them further in 2023. I suspect this is actually due to both hardware and software upgrades. Apple is expected to use Sony’s new image sensor. This could be reserved for the “Pro” model, like the new 48-megapixel camera was on his iPhone 14 model.

No Touch ID yet

The new iPhone 15 model could be the first to use the new A-series chipset built on TSMC’s next-generation 3-nanometer node. This results in improved AI, faster processing speed, greater coverage, better signal, lower latency, and up to 60% more power efficiency. Apple has used Qualcomm modems off and on for the life of the iPhone. But since adding 5G with the iPhone 12, I’ve only used Qualcomm.
Should I wait to buy the iPhone 15 or just get the iPhone 14?
Depending on when you are reading this, it might make more sense to wait for the iPhone 15 instead of getting the iPhone 14 model. If you’re reading this in the summer of 2023, I suggest waiting. Even if you do get an iPhone 14, the price will drop when the iPhone 15 is announced.
However, if you need a new phone right away, you shouldn’t wait. Get an iPhone 14. It’s still a good phone and doesn’t disappoint.
