Space-Grade Light Panels : International Space Station

SAGA Space Architects has unveiled a new Circadian Light Panel to assist astronauts. The panel will soon debut for the small crew quarters of the International Space Station. Lighting panels are designed to help astronauts living in confined areas of the International Space Station have trouble sleeping. Living in the limited area of the International Space Station offsets the circadian rhythm as it orbits the Earth and consists of noise.

Light panels designed for space use feature a system containing three light planes that emit light at different angles and spectra. That’s because it can help promote wakefulness, induce sleepiness, and even automatically adjust to your sleep schedule, depending on what the astronaut needs. In addition, the light panel emits dynamic wavelengths to simulate changing weather and natural light changes from sunrise to sunset on Earth.
