Google is working on expanding Fast Pair Technology that helps Android users set up their new handset.
Fast pairing is currently aimed at connecting smartphones to headphones and smartwatches, but 9to5Google found that it will soon be put into action when upgrading handsets.
After digging into the Fast Pair APK, the site found evidence that the feature could be immediately activated on existing devices when finding an Android handset that had not been activated.

From this point on, the user may be guided through the process of migrating their data and settings to their new Android phone.
