Self-Propelling Controlled Buoys : u-safe

The new U-Safe self-propelled buoy was recently unveiled at CES 2023 and is manufactured by Noras Performance in Portugal. Designed as a water safety measure, it is an underwater robot that helps swimmers in distress. It is self-propelled by a pair of turbines on the back of the unit.

These turbines are omnidirectional and can operate regardless of the orientation they are placed in the water. It can reach speeds of up to 15 km/h and clear vision. It weighs over 30 lbs and works with an inductive rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The robot is controlled by a Bluetooth remote and is fully waterproof and buoyant.
