Samsung’s affordable tablet from 2020 is getting Android 13

Samsung keeps nearly every phone and tablet released in the last two years up to date with the latest Android software. 2020 The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is the best example of how even the most affordable Samsung device, launched three years ago, isn’t left behind when it comes to Android OS updates. After SamMobile updated the 2022 model of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite to Android 13, Samsung is now offering the same update to users with the original variant that launched in 2020. If you own his LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020), your tablet is eligible for the Android 13 One UI 5.0 update.

At the moment, the update has been witnessed in France. That means it needs to start expanding to more European countries before moving on to other continents. Not much to say about it given that this is a fairly old tablet hopefully new security patches roll out before the tablet reaches his EOL (end of life) status I’m here.

Despite being a “light” tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite had decent specs for its time. Powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611 processor paired with either a 4/64GB or 4/128GB, the tablet was running Android 10 when it hit the market in May 2020.

The tablet also features a large 10.4 inch TFT display (1200 x 2000 pixels) and a massive 7,040 mAh battery. Apart from the low price, stylus support is another selling point of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020).

These days, anyone interested can pick up the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020) for just $300, but given that it will soon stop receiving updates, I wouldn’t recommend it. anyway, it’s refreshing to know Samsung has lived up to its word and continues to provide updates for just about every phone and tablet that falls under it.
