Samsung Galaxy A52 5G’s unlocked version finally gets Android 13 update in the US


Two months ago, Samsung released the Android 13 update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A52 5G in the US. The update was also released in Europe around the same time. The company is now releasing an Android 13 update to the unlocked variant of the Galaxy A52 5G in the US.

Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for unlocked version of Galaxy A52 5G comes with firmware version A526U1UEU7DWA2The update is rolling out to all US carrier networks including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket, C-Spire, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. Unfortunately, the update does not include his January 2023 security patch for smartphones. The device is still running the December 2022 security patch released last month.

For US Galaxy A52 5G users with an unlocked version of their device, you can download and install the Android 13 update on your device by going to: Configuration ยป software update and tapping Download and installYou can also download new firmware files from the firmware database and flash them manually. However, this solution is only recommended for those familiar with the manual flash process.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A52 5G with One UI 3 based on Android 11. The device received the Android 12-based One UI 4 update last year and now the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update. There are two more Android OS updates coming in the future.
