The Redmi K series has long been the choice of those looking for flagship power on a budget. I’m here. As such, these can often be a sign of coming to the global market.
Now Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi K60 series in China and the three phones share many features. The devices all feature flat 6.67-inch 3,200 x 1,440 OLED screens, 8MP+2MP secondary rear cameras (ultrawide and macro), Bluetooth 5.3, dual stereo speakers, IR blasters, and NFC. Otherwise, a closer look reveals three very different propositions.
Redmi K60 Pro: Top Dog

Starting with the Pro model, you’ll get the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. So those who want peak power and ray tracing support should consider this device. The Redmi K60 Pro also features a 5,000mAh battery and 120W wired charging. According to Xiaomi, the latter he offers a zero to 100% charging time of 19 minutes.
But perhaps the biggest upgrade we’ll see is the inclusion of wireless charging (30W) in Redmi phones for the first time. It was limited to series mobile phones.

Looking at the back of the phone, we find a 50MP IMX800 main camera (1/1.49 inch, 1 micron pixel size, OIS) and the aforementioned 8MP ultra-wide shooter and 2MP macro lens. Looking to the front, you can see his 16MP shooter for selfies.
Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6E, and MIUI 14. The phone also comes in a Champion Performance Edition model that comes with a standard glass back and a Kevlar-style back.
Redmi K60: what should be noted?

Love the idea of a Pro device, but want something more budget-friendly? That’s where the Redmi K60 comes in. First, it replaces the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with the still-fast Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. The chipset also appears to be underclocked compared to the regular Plus SoC, running at 3GHz versus his 3.2GHz speed for the standard chip.
You’ll also get a larger battery (5,500mAh) and 67W wired charging instead of the 120W speed. Thankfully, it still offers 30W wireless charging, so you don’t have to splash out on the Pro model if you want to take advantage of pad-based charging.
The regular Redmi K60 doesn’t have 120W wired charging, but it can still charge wirelessly.
Looking at the rear camera setup, we see a 64MP main camera (f/1.79, 0.7 micron pixel size, OIS) side by side with a budget secondary shooter. Otherwise, a 16MP shooter is available up front.
Other notable Redmi K60 features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, MIUI 14, and Wi-Fi 6E. The phone is also available with a glass back or synthetic leather back cover (but limited to the blue variant shown above).
Redmi K60E: almost mid-range

The Xiaomi sub-brand also had a third Redmi K60 series entry. Redmi K60E makes some concessions to reach a cheaper price point than its stable counterparts. For one, it has a mid-range yet respectable Dimensity 8200 chipset instead of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor.
It also gets a 5,500mAh battery and 67W wired charging, just like the standard K60. However, wireless charging is completely absent, so if you really want this feature, you’ll have to buy a standard device.
Switching to photography, we have a 48MP main camera (f/1.79, 0.8 micron pixel size, OIS) and a secondary lens. The device has a 20MP selfie camera on the front. A side fingerprint scanner, MIUI 13 and Wi-Fi 6 are also available on Redmi K60E.
Overall, the K60E looks like a gradual upgrade to the Redmi K50. The old phone had a QHD+ OLED screen, a Dimensity 8100 chipset, a 5,500mAh battery and 67W wired charging.
Redmi K60 series price and availability

The Redmi K60 Pro starts at 3,299 yuan (~$474) for the base 8GB/128GB model, while the vanilla K60 starts at 2,499 yuan (~$359) for the 8GB/128GB option. Finally, the Redmi K60E starts at 2,199 yuan (around $316) for the 8GB/128GB variant. The K60 and K60 Pro are available with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, with the K60E topping out at 12GB/512GB.
This is currently a Chinese release only, but history shows that at least one of these phones will leave China. Most recently, Redmi K40 and K40 Gaming entered the global market as Poco F3 and Poco F3 GT, while Redmi K40S and K50 Gaming earned the monikers of Poco F4 and Poco F4 GT.
