Procession of first responders honors Mobile County volunteer firefighter

Citronel, Alabama (WKRG) — Friends and family say goodbye to a volunteer firefighter who died in a crash over a week ago. For nearly four years, Thomas Graham served in the Calcedeaver Volunteer Fire Department until his death on a motorcycle north of Saraland.

A huge flag was waved across the road and a deafening line of fire trucks (honking their horns and lights burning) paid tribute to Thomas Graham. .

“He touched a lot and always had a smile on his face whenever Skeeter came,” said friend David Koger. Also in the procession were other bikers who were paying their respects.

Biker Jason Tipton said, “In the biker community we all came together and he was a good friend to many. of vehicles headed for his home.Thomas Graham’s life is commemorated not only by Calcedeaver Firefighters, but also by fire departments around Mobile County.

“Everyone here is family. We’re here to support each other and try to stay together as much as possible,” said Wilmer Fire Chief Charles Harvey.
