Google Meet is introducing a new feature called in-meeting reactions that rely on emoji simplicity. The concept stems from the idea that users can easily send him one of his nine emojis that appear in the recipient’s window. This will also be displayed to the rest of the callers.
When multiple members on a call send emojis, they gather in a burst on the left side of the screen. To use this new feature, users select the smiley face icon in the control bar, hover over the bar that pops up, and select skin tones for all available emojis. Google says this is a “non-intrusive way to engage and participate in meetings without disturbing the speaker.”
