Microsoft introduces new touch and Whiteboard experiences for Teams Rooms on Android


Microsoft has been working on a number of Teams features lately, including nifty integration with Outlook, AI-powered file sharing, and multi-question polls. Now, we’re also improving the touch and collaboration experience for Teams Rooms on Android.

First, there are more convenient ways to access the whiteboard. Previously, you could only open a whiteboard and share your screen within a Teams meeting.However, you can walk up to the Teams room display and tap on the home screen[ホワイトボード]With the touch of a button, you can now start collaborative brainstorming outside of Teams meetings. However, Teams admins must enable this behavior using the “Allow starting whiteboard” setting.

There is also a quicker and more convenient way to switch from a local whiteboard to an online whiteboard.on the whiteboard[ミーティングを開始]With the click of a button, your online meeting space will instantly launch with your screen on view. You can then add remote participants in real time. Presenters can also take advantage of the Content + Gallery layout.

Additionally, users now have a better content sharing experience through a redesigned share menu. All your content sharing options, including whiteboards, are in one place.

Finally, there are also a number of display-related enhancements. You can control the Teams Room display by touching the screen or touch console. This behavior must be enabled with the “Enable touch screen controls” policy. It also now supports 4K displays, improves chat notifications, and supports remote camera pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) control from your desktop.
