When everyone thought tablets were a thing of the past. But then his Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 came and it was a surprise to see his affordable and excellent mid-range Android tablet enter the market again. This was due to renewed interest as many users suddenly needed tablets for their children, especially for online education. This in India he sells for Rs 44,999 and offers accessories such as the Precision Pen 3 and a folio case with a built-in keyboard. design

Like the Xiaomi Pad 5 and the baseline iPad, the Lenovo Tab P11 is a mid-sized tablet that comes with a 11.2-inch display with a narrow bezel design. Tablets have plastic back panels and plastic frames, which is probably a bad thing for a phone. , P11 Pro Gen 2 weighs only 480 grams, lighter than Mi Pad 5.

The tablet has a quad speaker setup (two on each side), a power button, a USB Type-C port, and a pogo pin connector for attaching a keyboard case. Please note that the device does not have a fingerprint sensor. For added security, you’ll have to rely on face recognition (not very secure), PIN code, or pattern. The device should have at least had a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button.

This is a decently built, modern looking tablet that also features an SD card slot for additional storage expansion. Like most other tablets in this price range, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack.

display, speaker, camera

This is where the Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 is ahead of its time. Unlike most tablets such as the 10th generation iPad and Xiaomi Pad 5, Lenovo offers his OLED screen with a resolution of 2.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This is a standout feature of this tablet that makes it a great device for consuming content. Because OLEDs typically offer better contrast ratios and punchier colors compared to his IPS LCD panels.

Compared to the Xiaomi Pad 5 and the 8th generation iPad, the P11 Pro Gen 2 displays slightly better. However, if you already own one of these devices, both the iPad and Xiaomi Pad have high-quality IPS screens, giving you a great multimedia experience.

The Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2’s quad-speaker setup is on par with the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5’s speaker setup, which can get pretty loud. Lenovo devices are also Dolby Atmos certified. From a tablet perspective, the device has a decent 13MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie camera, which is more than enough for attending office meetings and online classes.

performance

A MediaTek Kompanio 1300T octa-core processor powers the Lenovo P11 Pro Gen, which comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In normal daily use, the Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 is smooth and vibration-free. You can also play games like PUBG: New State, CoD Mobile, and Asphalt 9 without issue on medium to high graphics settings. Even during heavy use, such as downloading content and playing games in the background, I didn’t have any heat issues at all.

software experience

That’s what makes the Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 great. At the time of testing, the tablet ran the stock Android 12 OS, and the company confirmed that the device would get both Android 13 and Android 14 updates. As soon as you plug in the keyboard folio, the tablet switches to desktop mode and offers a unique user experience with his UI similar to Windows OS.

There are some third-party apps on the tablet, but they are most useful and focus on productivity. The Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 allows you to uninstall almost all third-party apps, so you can have a clean tablet. It makes a great device for users who want an experience.

battery life

The Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 has an 8,000 mAh battery, and for casual users (who might use the tablet for surfing the web or watching movies), the tablet can easily last for days. If you want to use this tablet as your primary device, the P11 Pro Gen 2 offers all-day battery life and can easily provide 7-8+ hours of screen-on-time when you’re not playing games. whole period.

As for charging, the tablet comes with a 20W fast charger, which can take some time to fully charge the battery. Conversely, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, which has a slightly larger battery, charges slightly faster when paired with a fast charging adapter.

Verdict: A Good Mid-Range Tablet for Android Enthusiasts

It can be argued that the 10th generation iPad is more powerful and better than any budget Android tablet, especially for the price. But unlike the 10th generation iPad, the Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 runs on Android OS, giving users more freedom. Similar to the iPad, it can also be paired with an external monitor for a PC-like user experience.

At 45,000 rupees, it’s pricier than the Xiaomi Pad 5 and offers features like an OLED display, stock Android UI, and better performance. The Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 is the best and definitely one of the best mid-tier Android tablets of 2022.
