A new WhatsApp shortcut allows group managers to quickly complete work for another group user. WhatsApp now enables groups with up to 1024 users, so the new shortcut allows admins to privately manage and interact with specific members.
When a user joins or leaves a group after the update, that user’s phone number will be marked in the group event. Highlighted numbers are easy to manipulate. Apple iPhone users can use the new shortcuts by tapping and holding the highlighted number. Group admins will see shortcuts to chat, call, add to contacts, etc. This tool allows administrators to better manage large groups and discover or contact specific participants.
If the user is an admin of the WhatsApp group, they can use the new shortcuts by updating the app from the Apple App Store. WhatsApp has been making good progress over the past few months with features aimed at improving the group experience.
A few months ago, WhatsApp rolled out its Communities feature to the public. For those unfamiliar, WhatsApp Community allows a user to consolidate many of his WhatsApp groups under her one roof. This allows users to manage and communicate with multiple groups at the same time.
