The sequential performance of the Platinum P41 SSD is impressive, with read speeds of up to 7,000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,500 MB/s on 2TB and 1TB models. The 500GB model has a slightly slower write speed of 4,700 MB/s. The drive’s random performance is also impressive, with read speeds of up to 1,400K IOPS and write speeds of up to 1,300K IOPS on the 2TB and 1TB models. The 500GB model has slightly slower read speeds at 960K IOPS.
The Platinum P41 SSD supports TRIM, AES 256-bit encryption, TCG Pyrite, SMART, garbage collection, device sleep mode, and up to 256 queues (up to 1,024 queue depth per queue). It has a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C and is equipped with a temperature sensor. The drive’s TBW (Total Bytes Written) is up to 1,200 TBW for the 2TB model, 750 TBW for the 1TB model, and 500 TBW for the 500GB model. The drive has a MTBF (mean time between failures) of 1.5 million hours and a BER (bit error rate) of 1 error in 1015 bits transferred.
The Platinum P41 is the must-have SSD for gaming in 2023. Its read and write speeds are fast enough to handle even the most demanding games, such as the recently released acclaimed title Hogwarts Legacy.
