The Green Science Alliance has developed a fluorescent nanofertilizer using quantum dots to successfully grow fluorescent plants in the form of Japanese mustard spinach.

The particle size is what makes all the difference in this new type of fertilizer, which is in the nanometer range. It is said that Moreover, nanofertilizers are absorbed not only by the soil but also by the leaves of plants.
