The Cincinnati Bengals won their second consecutive AFC North title earlier this week, but today’s victory over the Baltimore Ravens also earned them a home playoff game.
After Dumar Hamlin went down due to cardiac arrest in Monday Night Football, the league hastily changed its rules on how tiebreakers are calculated if a game is cancelled.
One of the big changes is that the Ravens can now win home playoff games without actually winning them. It didn’t suit anyone in Cincinnati. Head coaches Zach Taylor and Katie Blackburn complained before the game, but the players complained on the field.
This is where Eli Apple’s Commissioner Roger Goodell trolls come in. One fan brought a coin-like autograph with the Commissioner’s face in clown makeup.
Apple must have found it after the game and showed it off to anyone looking to get their way.
Apple and this team didn’t hesitate to share their feelings. Running back Joe Mixon also celebrated by tossing a coin after scoring the first touchdown of the game.
This team is clearly embarrassed by the idea that no one wants a win like theirs.
Here, hope not soon.
