The various Crash Bandicoot remasters performed very strongly across consoles, but unfortunately the iOS and Android endless runner staring at the crazy marsupials of Australia didn’t quite perform as well.Activision’s Mobile developer and publisher King has announced that Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will end on February 16th. This means that the game will be unplayable and the server will be completely shut down. Let’s hope the recently announced Crash Team Rumble for consoles doesn’t end up suffering a similar fate.
“Dear Crash fans, we are announcing that Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will be retired on February 16, 2023.
The server goes down that day and the game becomes unplayable. After December 19, 2022, all in-app purchases will be disabled. If purchased, the associated purple crystal must be used in-game by February 16, 2023.
Bringing your favorite Crash characters to life means a lot and we really enjoy making this game. Thank you for spending time with us.
