Blind Spot, a company specializing in camera gear, has launched ‘Power Junkie V2’, the second version of their popular Power Junkie on Kickstarter. The device is designed to power small electronic devices, more specifically cameras, and has been updated based on user feedback. The new version includes an on/off switch and the ability to turn off the indicator light. It also features 100W USB Power Delivery (PD) with a maximum output of 34W shared by each output.
The Power Junkie V2 uses NP batteries and distributes power through three different taps, including USB-C PD, DC 8.4V, and the new DC 12V. There are also two taps that allow you to use cables and adapters to power many non-camera devices, as long as they are compatible with the Power Junkie V2’s output.
The Power Junkie V2 retails for $89 and is currently available for pre-order on Kickstarter for a 30% discount of $59. Although this is crowdfunding, the company has proven its credibility on the site in the past, so the device will almost certainly be released, plus the estimated shipping date is his March, which is very early.
