Apple Watch 8 and Ultra Become Official Wearables of the World Surf League
of The WSL has announced news sharing that the Apple Watch will be used for the first time as “the official equipment of a competitor in a professional sports environment.”Elite WSL Athletes use the new WSL Surfer App Apple Watch 8 or Apple Watch Ultra during the Championship Tour season. Wearables keep them informed while they compete in the water. The WSL Surfer app on Apple Watch syncs with the WSL scoring system in real time. Athletes then get their score, wave priority, and time. WSL says the Apple Watch is well suited for this task thanks to its large, bright screen, durable design, and cellular connectivity.
Each competitor will receive either an Apple Watch Ultra or an Apple Watch Series 8 prior to competition, and the wearable will of course come with the WSL Surfer app. The technology has been tested by the WSL over the past two seasons to ensure it meets the needs of the competition.
