Apple gets ready to take on India, the world’s second-largest smartphone market


Apple is finally ready to open its first physical store in India, the world’s second largest smartphone market.

The company appears to have found a foothold for growth by opening an Apple Store in India, the world’s second largest smartphone market after China.

The company has just listed 12 positions in Apple Stores “in various locations across India.”

The roles offered range from ‘In-Store Leader’ to ‘In-Genius’, ‘In-Specialist’, ‘In-Senior Manager’, ‘In-Technical Specialist’, ‘In-Market Leader’ to ‘In-Operations’. Expert”, “In Business Pro”, “In Creative”, “In Business Expert”, “In Manager”.

Apple has not disclosed the number of cities it plans to open Apple Stores in. However, LinkedIn said the group is looking for “geniuses” in Mumbai and New Delhi. The flagship store is due to open in Mumbai in March at the earliest, according to many experts.

Apple’s establishment in India is a big plus for the company, which is looking to reduce its dependence on China.
