Some iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users are reporting horizontal lines appearing on the display when turning on the device. Apple now appears to be confirming this issue internally.
Reports of display issues appeared shortly after the launch of the iPhone 14 series and only affected the Pro models (see image below via Redditor 1LastOutlaw). No word on whether this is a hardware defect or just a software bug. good luck, McRumors got an internal note that sorts things out.
“Apple is aware of this issue and will be providing a software update soon to resolve the issue,” reads an excerpt from the note. Additionally, the note also confirms that this issue only occurs when the device is turned on or unlocked.

No timeline has been given for this bugfix iOS update, but we’re happy to confirm that this is just a software bug rather than an outright hardware flaw. It will be done in the next week or two.
