The company partnered with US-based digital parking reservation platform SpotHero to launch the feature, according to TechCrunch. “We are always looking for new ways to make parking easier and more affordable for drivers. Working with Apple Maps is one way we are doing this. Apple Maps. Users of SpotHero’s website can search for nearby parking lots and reserve a space using secure payment options, the parking platform claims.
Additionally, SpotHero allows users to filter searches by date and time, as well as car parks with EV charging, wheelchair accessibility, valet service, and more, the report adds.
Last year, Apple expanded cycling directions in its Maps app to users in select U.S. cities, including Chicago, Detroit and Columbus.
Introduced in iOS 14, Cycling Directions gives users a wealth of information for their next bike ride. Navigation assets include designated bike lanes, trails, ramps, stairs, and obstacles, reports AppleInsider.
