One of the most interesting features of Windows 11 is the native support for Android apps that doesn’t require additional software or emulators. The current Windows Subsystem for Android is based on Android 12, but this is about to change. As with the best Android phones, the Android 13 update is on its way.
Microsoft has quietly released a beta channel for this update. XDA developer (opens in new tab)However, this channel is not included in regular Windows 11 Insider builds. Instead, you should sign up for the Windows Subsystem for Android Preview program. Version 2211.40000.7.0 lets you try Android 13 Beta.
The update to Android 13 is big news, but Microsoft revealed a number of additional upgrades that make up this update.According to the details, eight of them Github repository (opens in new tab)does not include general improvements to both performance and reliability.

You can sign up for the WSA Preview. Microsoft website (opens in new tab)However, the signup page states that it may take up to 7 days to start receiving updates. You also need a machine running Windows 11 and the Amazon App Store installed on your machine. You need an Amazon account if you don’t already have one.
The Windows Subsystem for Android will also be limited to the US for the time being. It’s not clear when the international rollout will take place. Sideloading WSA is possible, but XDA points out that it may be difficult to get the right updates.
I’ve tried this site on two separate machines and have yet to see the relevant Android 13 update appear. Therefore, the easiest option is to use official channels.
