SUNNYVALE — Amazon has revealed plans to cut hundreds of more Bay Area jobs in a new wave of layoffs.
Amazon made the disclosure in an official WARN notice it sent to state employment development agencies.
Overall, Amazon has decided to cut 261 jobs in the Bay Area, according to a Jan. 18 WARN letter.
According to a notice sent to EDD by Amazon, the company is cutting 157 jobs at six locations in Sunnyvale and 104 at four locations in San Francisco.
The job cuts were set to take effect March 19, 2023, Amazon said in a WARN letter.

Amazon had previously decided to lay off 263 employees at several Sunnyvale locations, according to a letter dated November 15, 2022.
