Imagine tracking down your lost wallet in 35 cities and discovering that only your AirTag remains.
that’s what happened John LewisA vegan fitness enthusiast was recently on a flight with American Airlines and realized he left his wallet on the plane. I contacted them to find out.
American Airlines said it couldn’t find the wallet, but Lewis pointed out they were able to confirm it was still on the plane. .
@AmericanAir Come now… help your boy. I just fly with you and you treat me like you don’t know 🤷🏾♂️. Like I said, I know it’s not your fault I forgot my wallet (that flight was over an hour late, so I rushed through the airport) pic.twitter.com /IV1jnrRkXGJanuary 29, 2023
Unfortunately, the American Airlines team eventually found the AirTag stuffed under the seat and the wallet was nowhere to be found. It looks like someone found the wallet at some point and threw the AirTag away to keep it from being stolen.
Lewis said he thanked American Airlines employees for their help and is working on canceling his credit card and getting a new one.
At least 2 articles have been written about my situation lol… yes I am responsible for forgetting my wallet. That being said, the reason I was in a hurry was because our flight was delayed by an hour and she had to run to the next flight. @americanair here’s the problem… pic.twitter.com/QaCS9gOKaoJanuary 30, 2023
