The Dynamic Islands feature was big news when iOS 14 launched in 2022. Of course, such functionality is also possible on Android using apps. Throughout 2022, several developers took advantage of just that opportunity. I found some talented developers. We will discuss them in this article. Some of them let you have the whole experience with nice animations, while others are 100% always active. Here are the best Dynamic Island apps for Android.
At the time of this writing, there are just over a dozen Dynamic Island apps in the Google Play Store. Most of them aren’t very good. So this list is shorter than what we usually want. When we update the list, we’ll check back to see if there are other apps that are better in this area.
dynamic bar
price: Free / Optional Donation

DynamicBar is a nice take on the Dynamic Island feature of iOS. It adds functionality to your phone and offers many ways to customize it. You can also whitelist apps to receive notifications only from the ones you want.
As far as the app is concerned, the functionality is sufficient. The menu system makes sense and you shouldn’t have any trouble navigating. The app is ad-supported and free. You can remove ads for a fee. The developer uses a donation system with in-app purchases starting at $0.99 and up to $99.99. The choice is yours.
dynamic spot
price: Free / $2.49 – $4.99

DynamicSpot is our favorite Dynamic Island app and featured in our list of Best Android Apps Released in 2022. There are some customizations, including size, and you can add a lot of functionality. It includes music controls, timers, rich notifications and an animated music visualizer that can be set as a notification light if desired.
Other than the occasional bug, there are few problems with this. The developer seems to be on board with updates to fix these bugs as well.
Save memo
price: Free / $1.99

NotiSave is one of the simpler Dynamic Island apps. Open, set, forget. It has a pretty good list of features like notifications, volume control, and taking screenshots. This is one of the permanent home screen changes as it seems to be always enabled unlike the others. It may be appealing to some people and not to others, but it’s a matter of taste.
Ads in the free version are annoying at times, but the app itself is laid out pretty well. Most of the semi-standard Dynamic Island apps work like this one with the island always visible. However, I think this one is better than the others, at least for now.
